The largest of our turkeys is the Broad Breasted Bronze. As the name suggests, the feathers on this beautiful turkey shimmer in the sunlight. This robust bird will thrive in the indoors or outside.
The Medium Bronze is a slower growing bronze turkey with the same beautiful plumage. It has a shorter keel with a nice heart shaped breast.
Our Medium White turkey likes to strut around the barnyard displaying its bright white plumage. It’s a slow growing turkey ideal for producing a beautiful whole bird because white feathers leave an unblemished skin. It has a shorter keel with a nice heart shaped breast and an even distribution of white meat and dark meat. This robust turkey will grow well both indoors or outside.
Our Black turkeys are a striking addition on the farm. They have a deep, rich color that goes from their head to their toes. This turkey’s history makes it ideal for the farmer looking for a traditional turkey.
Black turkeys originated in Mexico and were taken to England in the 16th Century where they became popular with the local farmers. The early colonists took them back to the New World to raise for food. The turkey consumed at the first Thanksgiving may actually have been one of these rather than a native wild turkey.
A variation from the more common bronze, Auburn turkeys will add a bit more color to the field with their reddish brown feathers. Day old poults look like bronze turkey poults but their black stripes are auburn stripes.
Available in both the Broad Breasted and Medium. Please note that for straight run poults and when hatching eggs, the hens are Auburn and the toms are Black. Auburn toms are not available.
